What do I wear to belly dance class?

-Comfortable work out wear such as yoga pants or leggings and a tee shirt or tank. Feel free to bring a hip scarf  as well.

What about shoes?

-Bare feet are ok, as well as socks or yoga socks. Shoes are ok as long as they do not have black soles (this pertains to in person class only – black soles can stain the dance studio floor.)

Do I need to bring anything to class?

-Bring a water bottle. Also, we will be using silk belly dance veils for in person class, so bring a veil at least 3 yards long. (no silk veil required for virtual classes)

What can I expect at a Belly Dance 1 class?

-We start class with an upbeat warm up. After that, we learn and drill some basic belly dance moves and incorporate them into usable combinations. We learn part of a class choreography , then close with a cool down.

Can I take Belly Dance 1 more than once?

-Yes! Belly Dance 1 is an ongoing class. Each term we learn a mix of  basics and new fresh combos to different music. We learn a different class choreography every term.
