Hello students,
I’m sorry I didn’t send this email on Friday! Can you believe it’s already Sunday?
I’m starting to receive voicemails from students. Thank you!
Homework due before 8:00 pm Sunday, September 27 (tonight!) 1. Click this link: Voicemail #1. If you were absent, you can’t do this homework because you needed to talk to another student in class first to get their information. But don’t worry, there will be more voicemail homework assignments!
Classwork
Click here for the slides from class: Level 2 Friday, September 25 Students practiced 10 words with a partner, including writing, spelling, pronunciation, number of letters, number of vowels, number of consonants, number of vowel sounds, and number of syllables. We took our first quiz on Friday. It was on listening to and writing the alphabet. If you were absent, you missed the quiz. But don’t worry, there will usually be a quiz or test every Friday, so we will have Quiz 2 on Friday, October 2. Students introduced themselves with their name, country, and language in class. Click this link to see the names of the students: Level 2 Introductions If you were absent, you will have a chance to introduce yourself tomorrow!Reminders
Buy the textbook (student book, not workbook) English in Action 2 and bring it to every class. You can buy it in the PCC bookstore. It costs $42.
Everyone has a free class this term. If you want a free class in winter term, you must attend 75% of the classes this term. This means you can be absent 7 times or miss 21 hours of class, including being late or leaving early. If you are absent more than 7 times or miss more than 21 hours, can you still take a class winter term, but it will not be free.
Davida will give you your parking permit tomorrow in class if you completed the Google Form. You must put it in your car right away. Parking is not free starting tomorrow. If you drive to PCC tomorrow and park your car, you will get a ticket if you don’t have a permit. You will pay $50 for your parking permit on Wednesday, September 30. Davida will take you to the SCOM building to pay. If you did not complete the Google Form, you must buy a three hour ticket for $3 from the parking machine outside. Put it in your car on the dashboard right away. Davida will help you order a parking permit for the term.
See you later, alligator!
After a while, crocodile!
