CAHIIM Accreditation: The PCC HIM program is accredited by CAHIIM so graduates may take the RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) exam.
AHIMA: AHIMA is the professional association for HIM. Student membership only costs $35 a year and provides you with many outstanding resources.
OrHIMA: AHIMA has Component State Associations around the country. OrHIMA is the Component State Association in Oregon and holds an annual conference each year in May in the Portland area and a fall institute in September.
RHIT: This link is on the AHIMA website and provides the details related to the RHIT exam.
HIMSS: HIMSS is the Information Systems professional association for healthcare. There are excellent resources on this site related to healthcare information systems which are valuable for both HIM and Health Informatics students and professionals.
