A) Submit your final draft of your “Exciting” essay. Email the google doc to Amanda by the start of class on Thursday.
Requirements:
- Must be in present simple and present progressive tense.
- Use adjectives and adverbs to make the story interesting.
- Type it on a google doc
B) Read the essay on page 165-166 in the textbook. (here is the text if you don’t have the book 165, 166)
- What do you think? Who do you agree with? What was the punishment for cheating at your high school?
- We will discuss our opinions in class on Thursday – you do not need to write anything down, but be prepared to discuss.
Thursday (3-9)
Homework – Due Tuesday (3/14)

- Read opinion piece on page 168-169
- Think of a topic for your Opinion piece. Find a reference that you will use in the paper. Come prepared to discuss the topic in class. Your topic can be one anything – gun control, abortion, which Pokémon is the best, which country has the best food – anything you want to talk about and that you can find some facts to support your opinion.
- The first draft of the opinion piece is due next Thursday.
