Note: Please try to finish the homework before the next class. You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class. Also, when you finish the homework & prepare for class, it helps me decide if you will be ready for the expectations of Level 4 or not.
Homework from class Monday, February 9, 2026
1. Student Book pages 82 & 83. On page 82, look at the pictures and study the vocabulary in the box. On page 83, try Exercises A & B. Listen to the vocabulary in Exercise C (<– click here for the audio.)
2. Listening: Conversations with a doctor <– Click here for the audio. Listen to the two conversations of a doctor and patient. What is the problem in each conversation? We’ll talk about this on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
3. Grammar handouts. Complete the grammar handouts I gave you in class. You can complete the exercises on the handout, or, for extra writing practice, copy the exercises into your notebook. We’ll check your answers on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

4. Continue to practice the clarification questions on your pink slip. Try to memorize them and use them outside of class.

1. Workbook pages 32 & 33, Exercises A, B, & C. Complete the exercises in your workbook, or, for extra writing practice, copy exercises B & C into your notebook. We’ll talk about the answers in class tomorrow, Thursday, February 12, 2026.
2. Listening with Workbook page 36, Exercise J (<– click here for the audio.) Listen to the audio again. Answer the questions with short answers. We’ll check your answers in class tomorrow, Thursday, February 12, 2026.
3. Speaking with Student Book page 85, Exercise B. Practice the questions with a friend or family member. Take turns asking the questions and giving answers. Example for #1: Are you going to join a gym? — Yes, I am. or No, I’m not.
4. Continue to practice the clarification questions on your pink slip. Try to memorize them and use them outside of class.

1. Listening with Workbook page 36, Exercise I and page 37, Exercise K. Complete Exercise I in your workbook. Words that you need to spell are: prescription, vaccine, cholesterol, & pressure. For Exercise K, write the short answers with true information about you. Example for #1: No, I’m not. Example for #2: Yes, I do. We’ll talk about your answers in class on Monday, February 16, 2026.
2. Student Book page 90, Exercises A & B only. Study the news words in the box. Look at the picture. Finish the sentences in Exercise B with words from the box. We’ll talk about this more on Monday, February 16, 2026.
3. Reading: Student Book page 94, Exercise B. Read the information about the student’s lifestyle. Make notes of new words. How are your health habits similar or different? We’ll talk about this more on Monday, February 16, 2026.
