1. Workbook pages 6 & 7, Exercises I & J. Complete the exercises in your workbook, or, for extra writing practice, copy the exercises into your notebook. For pp. 6 & 7, Exercise J, **write the questions that you hear** in your notebook. We’ll check your answers in class Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
2. Student Book page 11, Exercise B <– Click here for the audio. Complete the exercise in your student book, or, for extra writing practice, copy the exercises into your notebook. When you listen, **write the sentences that you hear** in your notebook. We’ll check your answers in class Wednesday, July 2, 2025.Listen and circle True or False about our class. 3. Student Book page 12 “English is Frustrating!” <– Click here for the audio. Listen to Ravia, Ketsia, Lian and Maria Luisa again. Which student do you identify with? Which student is similar to someone you know? We’ll talk about this in class Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

1. Grammar handout — Practice with should & shouldn’t for giving advice <– This is the handout from class. Complete the exercises on the handouts that I gave you in class. We’ll talk about the answers and your ideas for suggestions in class tomorrow, Thursday, July 3, 2025.
2. Student Book page 12 “English is Frustrating!” <– Click here for the audio. Listen to and review Ravi, Ketsia, Lian and Maria Luisa’s stories. Which student do you identify with? Which student is similar to someone you know? We’ll talk about this in class Thursday, July 3, 2025.

2. Study the clarification questions on your pink paper. You will have a dictation about the questions in class on Monday, July 7, 2025.
3. Listening practice: “The First Day” (<– Click here for the handout from class.) Listen to the text about Raisa’s first day of class. The QR code is on the handout, or click HERE for the audio. Fill in the missing verbs. You can try it with the list on the back of the paper, or try it without for an extra challenge. Check your own answers with the full text on Workbook page 7.
4. Writing practice with should/shouldn’t. Think about your own life situation. Think about some things that you know you should or shouldn’t do in general. Write 5 or more sentences in your notebook with should/shouldn’t about your situation. For example:
- I should exercise more.
- I should eat more fruit and vegetables.
- I should take a yoga class.
- I shouldn’t go to bed really late.
- I shouldn’t eat too much sweet food.
- I shouldn’t worry about things I can’t change.
