Week 2 (April 7 to 10, 2025) homework
Note: Please try to finish the homework before the next class. You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class. Also, when you finish the homework & prepare for class, it helps me decide if you will be ready for the expectations of Level 4 or not.
Homework from Monday, April 7, 2025:
1. Ways to say “Good-bye” — Watch the video again and practice the phrases from the handout I gave you in class. Also, listen for these different phrases when you hear or talk to people at work.

2. Listening & dictation about class expectations <– Click here for the audio. Listen to the audio with different class expectations. Write the sentences in your notebook, then decide if it is true or false for our class. Example #1: The school gives books to the students. — FALSE. We’ll check your dictation and the answers to the exercise in class on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
3. Practice with should & shouldn’t <– Click here for the handout from class. Choose 5 questions to answer with should or shouldn’t. Write the question and answer the question in your notebook. Example: I often get lost. What should I do? — You should use GPS in your car. We’ll talk about your ideas and check your writing in class on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

4. Writing about your group bar graphs. Write a few sentences about the bar graphs that you created in groups. Use quantifiers. Example: Most of the students have been here more than two to five years. A few of the students like blue. Write these sentences on another paper, skip lines and use blue or black pen. If you can, please give these to me in class on on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

1. Workbook page 14, Exercises A & B — Complete the exercises in the workbook, or, for extra writing practice, copy the exercises into your notebook. We’ll talk about the answers in class tomorrow, Thursday, April 10, 2025.
