Week 6 (October 27 to 30, 2025) homework

Note:  Please try to finish the homework before the next class.  You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class.  Also, when you finish the homework & prepare for class, it helps me decide if you will be ready for the expectations of Level 4 or not.

Homework from class Monday, October 27, 2025:

1. Memorize the clarification questions on your pink slipYou will have a dictation in class about them on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

2. Workbook page 29, Exercise C.  Complete the exercise in your workbook, or, for extra writing practice, copy the sentences into your notebook.  We’ll check your answers in class on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

3.  Listening & dictation (links below).  Listen to each audio selection and write the questions that you hear in your notebook.  Example from Wh- question audio link:  Where is Andre standing? (Note:  The names you will hear are Andre, Anna, Cara, Ted & Victor.)  We’ll check your questions in class on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

4.  Read “Customer Service” again.  Make notes of words that you want to remember and talk about. Try some of the exercises. We’ll continue to talk about it on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Homework from class Wednesday, October 29, 2025:

1.  Workbook page 27, Exercise B.  Write the Yes/No question and short answer for each item.  #1 is an example.  You can complete the exercise in your workbook or, for extra writing practice, copy the sentences into your notebook. We’ll check your answers in class tomorrow, Thursday, October 30, 2025.

2.  Workbook page 30, Exercises G & H (continued).  Look at the picture and answer the questions that you hear on the audio.  (You can also look at your dictation homework from Monday for the questions.)  Example for Exercise G, #1 — He is standing in front of the stove.  Example for Exercise H, #1 — Yes, he is. We’ll check your answers in class tomorrow, Thursday, October 30, 2025.

3.  Listen to the audio (click here) while you read “Customer Service“. Then, please think about the “Discussion/Writing” questions on the last page at the bottom.  We’ll talk about your ideas in class tomorrow, October 30, 2025.

1. Student Book page 69, Exercises A & B. Complete Exercise A in your student book, or, for extra writing practice, copy it into your notebook. For Exercise B, –> HERE IS THE AUDIO. We’ll check your answers in class Monday, November 3, 2025.

2.  Workbook page 28, Exercises C & D.  You can complete the exercises in your workbook or, for extra writing practice, copy the questions into your notebook. We’ll check your answers in class Monday, November 3, 2025.

3.  Student Book page 72, the blue boxes.  Only read the grammar information in the blue boxes about stative (non-action) verbs.  We’ll talk more about this next week.

4.  Listening with Student Book page 74 <– Click here for the audio. Listen to the information about how technology is changing business.  Then try Exercise C with the information you heard from the audio. We’ll check your answers in class Monday, November 3, 2025.

5. Review the story “Customer Service” and listen to the audio (click here) while you read. We will practice reading some of the story out loud (orally) next week.
