Week 11 (December 1 to 4, 2025) homework

Note:  Please try to finish the homework before the next class.  You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class.  When students finish the homework and prepare for class in general, they have better learning outcomes.

Homework from class Monday, December 1, 2025:

1. Grammar handouts: Past time phrases (Links below.)  Complete the exercises on the handouts, or, for extra writing practice, copy the exercises into your notebook.  We’ll talk about the answers in class on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

2.  Student Book page 120, Exercise E (<– Click here for the audio.) Listen to Jarek talk about the events on his timeline.  Fill in the missing information in the diagram in Exercise E. We’ll talk about the answers in class on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

3.  (if you haven’t finished it yet)  Video & Reading:  “Tiny Living”.  Watch the video first, then listen and read to Student Book page 124. Make notes of new vocabulary that you want to remember. Think about Exercises A and B on Student Book page 125.

Homework from class Wednesday, December 3, 2025:

1. Create a timeline for yourself, similar to Exercise E on Student Book page 120 and to the one we made in class.  We’ll use the information in class tomorrow to practice questions in the past tense.  Draw the timeline in your notebook.

2. Student Book page 121 (blue boxes only) and Workbook page 46, Exercise E.  Read the blue boxes on Student Book page 121 and then try Exercise E on Workbook page 46.  You can complete the exercise in your workbook, or, for extra writing practice, copy it into your notebook.  We’ll talk about the answers in class tomorrow, Thursday, December 4, 2025.

3. (if you haven’t finished it yet)  Video & Reading:  “Tiny Living”.  Watch the video first, then listen and read to Student Book page 124. Make notes of new vocabulary that you want to remember. Think about Exercises A and B on Student Book page 125.
