Week 7 (February 16 to 19, 2026) homework
Note: Please try to finish the homework before the next class. You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class. Also, when you finish the homework & prepare for class, it helps me decide if you will be ready for the expectations of Level 4 or not.
Homework from class Monday, February 16, 2026
1. Workbook page 33 & 34, Exercises D, E & F. Complete the exercises in your workbook, or, for extra writing practice, copy them into your notebook. We’ll go over the answers in class on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
2. Student Book page 90, Exercise C <– Click here for the audio for “The Accident”. Think about the questions in Exercise D on page 91 (Note: You don’t need to write anything.) We’ll discuss the audio and questions in class on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
3. Continue to practice the clarification questions on your pink slip. Try to memorize them and use them outside of class.
4. Extra video practice: “No Smoking” <– Click here for the video. It’s about a swimmer who is trying to quiet smoking. It’s about 26 minutes long. You can click CC under the video player, or you can follow along with the script. It has some good vocabulary and conversational phrases.

1. Writing: Student Book page 89, Exercise D. Make predictions about your classmates, our class and PCC. Look at the examples. Use will/won’t + verb for the future. Write your sentences in your notebook. We’ll share these in class on Monday, February 23, 2026.
2. Grammar handouts. Complete the handout I gave you in class. You can complete the exercises on the handout, or, for extra writing practice, copy them on to another paper. We’ll check these in class on Monday, February 23, 2026.
