Week 10 (November 24 and 26, 2025) homework
Note: Please try to finish the homework before the next class. You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class. Also, when you finish the homework & prepare for class, it helps me decide if you will be ready for the expectations of Level 4 or not.
Homework from class Monday, November 24, 2025:
1. Practice quizzes on D2L — The first two quizzes will help you prepare for your quiz on regular past (-ed) verbs in class on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
- Self-quiz — Spelling regular past tense verbs with -ed
- Self-quiz: List 1 — past tense pronunciation of -ed
- Irregular past verbs (List 1)
- Negative past tense
2. Workbook page 45 & 46, Exercises D & F. Complete the exercises in your workbook, or, for extra writing practice, copy them into your notebook. We’ll check your answers in class on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
3. Student Book page 118, Exercise B. Write complete sentences about the last time you did each action. Use the actions in the book, and use past time expressions at the end of each sentence.
Example for #1: I bought new sneakers a few months ago.
Please write your sentences on another paper to give to me. Please use blue 🖊 or black 🖊 pen and skip lines. The paper must be regular notebook size (8 1/2 x 11 inches).📄 You will give me your sentences in class on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
4. Student Book page 117, Exercise A — Irregular Past Verbs (<– Click here for the audio.) Continue to study, listen, and practice the base form and past form of these common irregular verbs. We’ll practice these a lot in class for the next few weeks.
