Note: Please try to finish the homework before the next class. You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class. Also, when you finish the homework & prepare for class, it helps me decide if you will be ready for the expectations of Level 4 or not.
Homework from class Monday, November 3, 2025:
1. Student Book page 72, Exercise A. Complete the exercise in your Student Book, or, for extra writing practice, copy the exercise into your notebook. We’ll check your answers in class on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
2. Workbook page 29, Exercise E. Complete the exercise in your workbook, or, for extra writing practice, copy the exercise into your notebook. We’ll check your answers in class on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
3. Grammar handout: Stative & Action Verbs <– Click here for the handout. You can complete the exercise on the handout, or, for extra writing practice, copy the sentences & questions into your notebook (I recommend this.) Example for #1: Right now, my brother is watching TV in the living room. Check your answers HERE and circle your errors. We’ll talk about your answers in class on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
4. Videos: Watch these videos about stative and action verbs. Note: The videos are on Youtube, so you need to SKIP ADS at the beginning. Make notes to yourself in your notebook of things that you want to remember.

5. You will have a quiz about present continuous & simple present sentences, similar to today’s warm-up, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Please review!
Homework from class Wednesday, November 5, 2025:
1. My Favorite Place <– Click here for the handout I gave you in class. Read the paragraph about “My Favorite Place.” Circle the non-action (stative) verbs and underline the action verbs. Think about the questions on the handout about your own favorite place. We’ll talk about this in class tomorrow, Thursday, November 6, 2025.
2. Error correction practice <– Click here for the handout I gave you in class. Read the paragraph. Find and correct the verb errors in the paragraph. For extra writing practice, copy the paragraph into your notebook. Double space (skip lines.) We’ll talk about this in class tomorrow, Thursday, November 6, 2025.
3. Student Book pages 78-79. Read the example email. Think about the questions in Exercise B. Correct the sentences and questions in Exercise C. We’ll practice writing emails in computer class tomorrow, Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Homework from class Thursday, November 6, 2025:
1. My Favorite Place <– Click here for the handout I gave you in class. Write a few sentences in your notebook about your favorite place. PLEASE use your own words and *not& ChatGPT, Google Translate or other AI. This is an opportunity to improve your writing skills, not get a grade. I need to see your writing if you want me to help you. We’ll compare, check and re-write your sentences in class on Monday, November 10, 2025.
2. Student Book page 70, Exercise D. In your notebook, write five or more Wh- questions in present continuous (-ing) about the picture. Wh- questions start with Who, What, Where, When, Why, How, etc. Example: What is Ahmed printing? We’ll check your questions in class on Monday, November 10, 2025.
3. Student Book pages 74-75 (<– Click here for the audio.) Review the pictures and listen to the audio about how technology is changing businesses again. Try Exercises B, C & D. We’ll discuss this topic and check your answers in class on Monday, November 10, 2025.
