Note: Please try to finish the homework before the next class. You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class. Also, when you finish the homework & prepare for class, it helps me decide if you will be ready for the expectations of Level 4 or not.
Homework from class Monday, October 20, 2025:
1. Practice quiz with should & shouldn’t <– Click here to see the handout. Try the exercise. Please copy the exercise into your notebook for extra writing practice. Example for #1: He should save his money. Example for #2: Yes, he should go. We’ll check your answers in class on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
2. Write sentences about your bar graph information from the class activity. Example: Three of the students have been here more than ten years. or None of the students sleeps less than five hours a night. We’ll compare your sentences in class on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
3. Ask a friend or family member about something they want to improve and what they think they should do. Example: I want to have more energy. I should exercise more and eat a lot of vegetables. I shouldn’t go to bed late. We’ll share the information in class on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
4. Practice the clarification questions on your pink slip. Try to use them outside of class.

1. Review for your Unit 1 test. Look at Student Book pages 2 to 13. Review the blue boxes, the exercises and new vocabulary. Review the exercises on pages 2 to 7 in your Workbook. Review the your notes and the handouts we did in class and for homework.

Homework from class Thursday, October 23, 2025:
1. Preview Unit 5 (Student Book pages 65 to 80). Look at the blue grammar boxes. Look at the pictures. This way you can become familiar with what we will start to study next week.
2. Please watch at least the first two the grammar videos. This is easy to do on your phone. They will help you prepare for next week.

- Present Simple & Present Continuous — This is a longer video that talks about the differences between simple present and present continuous. If it’s confusing for you, that’s fine. We’ll talk about this a lot in class.

4. Continue to practice the clarification questions on your pink slip. Try to use them outside of class.
