Homework from Monday, July 14, 2025:
1. Reading about Alaska & Hawaii — Workbook page 25 (<– Click here for the audio.) Read and listen to the information about Alaska and Hawaii. Try the exercise.
2. Vocabulary about geographic features <– Click here for the slideshow we looked at in class. You can also study with the handout I gave you in class (<– click here.) You will have a quiz on the vocabulary in class Monday, July 21, 2025.
3. US National Parks map <– Click here for the handout I gave you in class. Look at the map of the different national parks in the United States. Which ones have you visited? Which ones would you like to visit? We’ll talk about this more in class on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

1. Workbook pages 20 & 21, Exercises A, B, and C. Complete the exercises in your workbook, or, for extra writing practice, copy them into your notebook. We’ll check your answers, and practice the questions in Exercise C, in class on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

2. Writing. Write a five or more sentences about the geographical features in your country. Use There is/There are/There aren’t + a quantifier from Student Book page 53. Examples: There are many major rivers in the US. There are several mountain ranges. There are a few active volcanoes. Please write on another 8½” x 11″ paper, use blue or black pen, and skip lines. 🚫 Please do not get help from a family member or use AI, ChatGPT, or Google translate.🚫 I want to see YOUR writing, errors and all. You will give this to me in class Monday, July 21, 2025.
