Homework from class Thursday, June 26, 2025

1. Practice with quantifiers (<– Click here if you don’t have the books yet.)  Review the grammar on Student Book page 8 and try the exercises on Workbook page 5.  You can complete the exercises on the handout paper, or, for extra writing practice, copy the exercises into your notebook.  We’ll check the answers in class on Monday, June 30, 2025.

2. Study for your syllabus quiz!  Here are the study questions (<– click here)  and the syllabus (<– click here) .  You can refer to the syllabus during your quiz, but you need to know where the information is!

3.  Listening & writing practice:  Listen to this audio of Gloria & Kenji (<– click here) and write the questions that Gloria asks Kenji. We’ll check the answers in class on Monday, June 30, 2025.

4.  Reading: Student Book pages 10 and 12.  Please read p. 10/Exercise A and p.12/Exercise A.  We’ll talk more about class expectations and goals for learning English in class next week.

5.  Continue to practice the clarification questions on the “pink slip”.  Practice with a friend or family member.  Ask about things around your house.
