Week 9 (May 28 and 29, 2025) homework
Note: Please try to finish the homework before the next class. You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class. Also, when you finish the homework & prepare for class, it helps me decide if you will be ready for the expectations of Level 4 or not.
Homework from class Wednesday, May 29, 2025:
1. Workbook pages 44 & 45, Exercises A to D. Complete the exercises in your workbook, or, for extra writing practice, copy the exercises into your notebook. We’ll go over the answers in class on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
2. Irregular verb practice on Student Book page 117, Exercise A <– Continue to listen, repeat and try to memorize these common irregular past verbs in English.
3. Grammar preview. Read the blue boxes at the top of pages 118 and 119. We will practice these grammar rules next week in class.

Homework from class Thursday, May 29, 2025:
1. Listening & pronunciation of regular past -ed verbs <– Click here for the audio on D2L. Look at the handout (<– click here) that I gave you in class. Listen and determine the sound (“t”, “d” or “ed”) of the regular past tense ending. Put a check mark (✔️) in the correct column. Listen again and repeat each verb. We will go over the answers in class next week.
2. Grammar handouts — affirmative and negative past tense. Complete the exercises on the handout, or, for extra writing practice, copy the exercises into your notebook. We will go over the answers in class next week.
