The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted

Every human organism is unique and remarkable in its ability to repair, recover and return to vibrant health. The starting point for almost everyone is to make certain they are getting what they need and eliminating what they cannot or more simply should not use; identifying the optimal nutrients and do our best with the introduction of items that otherwise compromise the individual and render it incapable of accomplishing the goal of vibrant and sustainable health. The China StudyAs human beings, we are all constantly in the process of change. Our changes are observable physically, mentally and emotionally. Our physical, mental and emotional responses and functions never remain the same for very long. As an adult, we are not quite the same person that we were as an adolescent, as a child or as an infant. Human capabilities and capacities are constantly changing by either increasing or decreasing.
Dr. T. Colin Campbell is an established plant-based nutrition researcher and biochemist, as well as a Jacob Gould Schurman Professor Emeritus of Nutritional Biochemistry at Cornell University. His best-selling book The China Study states right on the cover – The most comprehensive study of nutrition ever conducted.
His body of work has even launched a petition to nominate Dr. Campbell for the Nobel Prize of Medicine. The verbiage within the nomination states – “The Nobel Prize in Medicine is awarded to people whose work is transformative and translational. Dr. Campbell’s groundbreaking discovery of the healing effects of whole-food, plant-based nutrition has the power to benefit every person born into this world”.
Eating Right: Eight Principles of Food and Health
  1. Nutrition represents the combined activities of countless food substances. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
  2. Vitamin supplements are not the panacea for good health.
  3. There are virtually no nutrients in animal-based foods that are not better provided by plants.
  4. Genes do not determine disease on their own. Genes function only by being activated or expressed, and nutrition plays a critical role in determining which genes, good and bad are expressed.
  5. Nutrition can substantially control the adverse effects of noxious chemicals.
  6. The same nutrition that prevents disease in its early stages (before diagnosis) can also halt or reverse disease in its later stages (after diagnosis).
  7. Nutrition that is truly beneficial for one chronic disease will support health across the board.
  8. Good nutrition creates health in all areas of our existence. All parts are interconnected.
