- If you can’t understand, you can say, “Can you say that again, please?” or “Can you please repeat that?” or “Can you speak more slowly?”
- Your partner can help you understand by saying, “B as in boy” or “V as in violin.”
- Switch! (=Change) Now your partner will ask you the same questions and you will answer and they will write.
- Practice your voicemail. Pretend you are leaving a message. Your partner will listen to you and give you feedback. Switch! Listen to your partner practice their voicemail. Give them feedback.
Examples of feedback:
- Good job! That sounds great!
- That’s not correct. My language is Vietnamese, not Vietnam.
- Your pronunciation is not correct. My name is pronounced “Wee” not “Kwee.”
