You have information about the present progressive in your textbook in Unit 6 and also on page 246 (grammar) and page 252 (spelling).I want to share 8 short videos with you about the present progressive and the simple present. I think they will help you to see the difference between them. Watch the videos and take notes. Turn on the captions. Make the video big. Pay attention! If you didn’t understand the first time, watch the video again.
Think about the form of these two verb tenses and the use of these two verb tenses.
What does simple present look like? When do we use simple present?
What does present progressive look like? When do we use present progressive?
Remember, the book uses the term present continuous. Present continuous and present progressive are the same thing!
