Hello students,

We went to the Learning Garden today at the end of class to do some art activities and eat snacks.

We practiced again with Oxford Picture Dictionary.  This time we worked on jobs.  Last time we worked on family.  The Unit 2 Test will be on both family and jobs!
You took home a paper with job skills vocabulary from Oxford Picture Dictionary.  Click this link to see the pictures in color:  Jobs OPD.
Homework due Friday, October 24

1.  Study for the Unit 2 Test.

2.  Complete the jobs handout (2 sides).

3.  Finish the Unit 2 Packet.  Check your work with eagle eyes.  It should be beautiful and ready to put in the blue box.

How to Study for the Unit 2 Test

You will need to know:
possessive adjectives (page 34) – my, your, his, her, its, our, and their


possessive nouns (page 46) – for example: Yoko’s husband, John’s book, Susan’s daughter

simple present (page 40) – for example:
I live in Portland.
You live in Beaverton
He/She/It lives in Tigard.
We live in Lake Oswego.
They live in Tualatin.

comparative and superlative adjectives (page 35) – for example: old, older, oldest

family vocabulary (pages 34, 35, 42, 43, 44, 45) – for example: mother, niece, cousin, father-in-law

job vocabulary (pages 38, 39, 40, 43, 44, 45) – for example: a landscaper, factory workers, truck drivers
