Hello students,
It was very nice to meet some of you for the first time today and see some of you again. If you didn’t come to class today, I hope we will see you on Wednesday.

Homework due Wednesday, September 24
1. Watch this 8 minute video about the alphabet. Click this link: The English Alphabet (ABC – Learn English) Speak English!

3. Complete the First Day Questionnaire. Click this link: First Day Questionnaire. You will put this in the blue box.
4. Practice spelling your first name and last name out loud in English. Practice the sounds that are difficult for you.
5. Look at the alphabet paper carefully. Copy everything from the alphabet paper onto the lined paper. Write the alphabet in order, with the capital letters next to the lowercase letters. Write your first and last name on this paper. The first letter of your first name and the first letter of your last name are capitalized. The other letters are lowercase. Write the numbers and the punctuation also (period, comma, question mark). Keep the alphabet paper to help you. You will put the lined paper in the blue box.
6. Bring money to pay for the class, the book, and parking. We will go to the office together at the end of class.
- The class costs $129.20. If you need help paying for the class, please complete this form to get a fee waiver. Click this link: Fee Waiver.
- The textbook costs about $40 in the PCC bookstore, or you can buy it on Amazon or thriftbooks.com.
- If you will drive to school, you must buy a parking permit for $50. This is for fall term (September, October, November, and December).
7. Go to Scott 101 (computer lab) at 8:30 on Wednesday. We will be in the computer lab for one hour.
