Hi everyone,

We finished correcting the packet today and practiced about the BE verb, contractions, questions, and negative sentences.
We took the Welcome Unit Test.
Students practiced with Andi and Joan.
Next week we will start Unit 3 in the textbook.
Each student will give a Famous Person Presentation next week.
Homework due Monday, January 26

1. Famous Person Presentation

Write 3 or more simple sentences with the BE verb and 3 or more simple yes/no questions with the BE verb about a famous person you like.

This can be a person from your country or from a different country.

The person must be alive!  Use the BE verb (is, are).

Examples:

Barack Obama is alive.
Michael Jackson is not alive.  He is dead.  He died.

Email or text your sentences and questions to Davida.

Email or text 1 photo of the famous person.

You will present your famous person to the class.

Practice reading your sentences and questions out loud with clear pronunciation.  Look at the examples on page 9.
