Hello students!

It’s starting to get cold.

I returned the Welcome Unit tests.  Now we are starting Unit 2.

We practiced spelling and pronunciation with days of the week and names of months.

We practiced family vocabulary on pages 34 and 35.  We also learned some more family vocabulary:

For each vocabulary word that you learn, you need to learn:

• spelling

• pronunciation

• meaning – translation in your language and definition from an online English-English dictionary

• part of speech – noun, verb, adjective, or adverb

• Can you use the vocabulary word in a conversation?

• Can you write your own sentence with the vocabulary word?

• Can you read and understand the vocabulary word?
