PCC welcomes Tony Broadous as the new Head Men's Basketball Coach

Tony has Portland roots which begin with his career as a student athlete at Jefferson high school. He went on to play both basketball and baseball at Lane Community College, and later graduated from Oregon State University with his Bachelor of Science in Sociology.

Tony brings over 20 years of experience and success as a basketball coach. He was most recently the head men's basketball coach at Grant high school, where he led that team to the 6A state championship in 2008. Tony was named P.I.L. coach of the year in 1997, 2002, and 2007. In 2008 he was recognized by the Oregon Coach's Association as their "coach of the year".

Coach Broadous has also experienced success beyond the local high school level, having been a head coach for USA South in the Nike Global Challenge. That all-star team consisted of some of the top players in the world. Tony led his USA South team to the global championship in 2010.

PCC is very excited to have Tony Broadus leading the way as the new head men's basketball coach at PCC. As observed by Athletic Director Dick Magruder, "Tony's local roots and tremendous knowledge of the game is a perfect recipe for success at PCC".
