Yara received her Bachelor of Fine Art in Graphic Design and Communications from UAM in Mexico City.
She has worked at museums and non-profits in San Diego and Mexico, supporting the education departments with gallery tours and hands-on workshops for diverse groups in English and Spanish. Her illustrations reflect the influences of Mexican colors, traditions, and her life in the United States. Yara is currently working on her MFA in Applied Crafts and Design at PNCA.
