Professional Bio – International Travel Experts

Shyla Esko Bare took her first international trip at 21 when she backpacked around Australia on her own. Since then, she has traveled to 74 countries on six continents and lived in Scotland, Australia, Thailand & Mexico. She has a BA from the University of Washington and an MBA from Napier Edinburgh University in Scotland. Being an avid international traveler, Shyla organizes the “International Traveler & Travel Dreamer” Meetup.com group and is an International Travel Coach with Wild Spirit Travel.

Daniel Bare was an IT professional who traveled extensively for work throughout the US, Canada & Britain. Just after marrying Shyla, he was recruited by the Royal Bank of Scotland where he worked for five years. Living in Edinburgh was amazing and inspired Dan and Shyla to do an around-the-world trip. They thought they would travel for a year – but instead traveled for SEVEN years! Dan has been to 74 countries and has also lived in Scotland, Australia, Thailand & Mexico. He has a Masters Diploma from Central Queensland University in Australia. Currently, Dan puts his IT and travel skills to use by teaching travelers how to use technology when abroad. He is also an International Travel Coach with Wild Spirit Travel.

When Shyla & Dan headed out on their first international trip, they had a lot of questions. However, they could not find concise practical information. In the end, they found they made a lot of traveler mistakes at the start including falling for scams, not having proper documents, over-packing, and negotiating poorly. Each mistake was a lesson learned, and after seven years of travels, Shyla and Dan are world travel experts. That is why they became International Travel Coaches. They are also the bestselling authors of the travel tip book Before You Go Abroad Handbook.

They have now created 20 different classes. So far at PCC they have taught:
