PCC Institute of Fundraising and Grant Writing with WVDO

Build the skills to successfully write grants and raise funds for worthy projects and organizations. Courses are taught by professionals with real experience, and will give you a comprehensive look at all aspects of the funding field. Geared for those working with nonprofits, those who aspire to do so, volunteers who support nonprofits in raising support.

Completion awards will be given to participants who complete all five PCC courses and attend five Willamette Valley Development Officers (WVDO) educational program events. Details on WVDO's schedule are listed at http://wvdo-or.org/. Participants who earn an award of completion will be recognized at a WVDO event and receive a complimentary year-long membership in the organization. Email emily.murr@pcc.edu with questions.

Continuing Ed: Tax Professionals

The following courses are designed as continuing education for IRS Enrolled Agents and Registered Tax Return Preparers, Licensed Tax Consultants in the State of Oregon, as well as CPAs and PAs. CPA and PAs should check with their boards for job relevancy.

Electrical License Renewal

Updated for the New 2014 Code Book. Let PCC help keep your electrical training current and advance your career! Our classes offer the latest training in the electrical profession. Each course meets the requirements of the State of Oregon Electrical Board for Continuing Education for license renewal. These classes can also be used to meet the Washington State requirements through the WA/OR reciprocity agreement. A course completion award for eight hours of continuing education will be issued by the instructor at the end of each Saturday workshop to students who have proof of registration. Attendance rosters for all classes will be sent to the State for certification purposes. Please note that the electrician's license renewal fee is not included in the cost of the class. A 2014 National Electric Code Book is required.

Solar, Thermal, and Electric Systems Installer Series

This series of eight classes offers up-to-date information and training for the following topics: Principles of Solar Energy Systems, Solar Hot Water, Solar Electric Controls I and II, Solar Electric Systems I and II, Grid-tied Photovoltaic Systems I and II. This series is approved for 20 hours by the State Renewable Energy Apprenticeship Committee.
