BCT222 Engineering for Constructors
Presents the fundamentals of analysis and design of structural systems used in buildings to students with limited technical training. Introduces basic contemporary structural systems in masonry, steel, concrete and wood. Covers determination of support forces, bending moments, shear, strengths, properties of materials, loads and dimensional properties. Prerequisites: BCT 104, 102 or instructor approval.
