Instructor comments:

Class meets remotely on Zoom each Tuesday at 5:30pm. In addition to the books available in the bookstore, there is a separate online resource that must be purchased separately with a subscription fee.

Required Textbooks for PL 108:

  • Currier, Introduction to Law for Paralegals, 7th Ed.
    • Note: this is the same text required in PL 101, if you have the print version of the text, you do not need to purchase it again (even if the PCC Bookstore says you do - instead you will be able to purchase Connected Quizzing separately - see below). If you do not have the text from that class. and do not want to pay for a new edition, you might be able to find a used edition - the focus of the reading and exercises will be Chapters 7, 8, & 9.
  • Coughlin, A Lawyer Writes, 3d Ed.

Additional Online Resource:

  • Connected Quizzing for Grammar: I have assigned Connected Quizzing as a required component of this course. With Connected Quizzing, you’ll take assigned quizzes at CasebookConnect.com that will help you learn the course material and get detailed feedback to help you improve in class.  You will need to purchase access separately for $49/course at: www.WKLegaledu.com/CQ . Follow the instructions provided in the course D2L once it is available.

Please let me know if you have questions about the textbooks or online resource.
