Examines the position of women in society from a cross-cultural perspective. Includes the process of gender enculturation, women's lives in foraging, pastoral and agricultural societies and international issues such as female circumcision, infanticide, child brides and honor/dowry deaths. This is a conversation-based class! You'll have a REAL-TIME audio conversation every week for 1 hour at the same time with your small group. The timing will be based on your availability, and you'll need to be available at the same time each week. Take a look at this video to get a better sense of the class.
