Felting for Stop Motion Characters
Explore felting materials, tools and techniques during the process of fabricating a character for stop motion animation. Also discover dialogue mouths, set up a shooting stage at home, and learn introductory animation software.
Class activity will include pre-recorded demonstrations on the processes of armature fabrication, foam build-up, felting, color contouring, replacement dialogue mouths, and animation set-up. We will discuss the demos, work together in class, and share our work and feedback on each others' pieces in progress. For even more inspiration we will take a look at short films and commercials that utilize the felt medium.Get ready to register
