Continues work on skills from Music Theory I with introduction to tonal counterpoint. Focuses on composition techniques primarily associated with 18th century practices. Includes formal musical analysis of literature. Prerequisite: MUS 113, and (WR 115 and RD 115) or IRW 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement. Corequisite: MUS 211B.
