This 45-hour phlebotomy training program provides both classroom and practical instruction in the art of drawing blood. The program covers the theory, anatomy and terminology pertaining to the circulatory system. Practical instruction provides hands-on training in venipuncture collection procedure using a butterfly, vacutainer and a syringe as well as how to dispense blood into tubes following syringe collection. The course will aslo include OSHA refresher training, and point of wave testing. 

Pre-requisite: This course is intended only for individuals who (1) have work experience in the medical office, hospital, urgent care clinic, outpatient center or other professional healthcare facility, and (2) currently employed in a healthcare environment WHERE THEY HAVE ACCESS AND PERMISSION TO PERFORM SUPERVISED BLOOD DRAWS.
