Introduces the general properties and uses of antibody molecules. Includes an overview immune response, biosynthesis of immunoglobulin, obtaining, purifying and labeling antibodies, and using antibodies in a variety of common applications (ELISA, Western blot, immunoprecipitation and immunocytochemistry, antibody-based affinity chromatography).
