Continues the calligraphic scripts studied in the ART 218 sequence and refines the forms. Covers complex layout and design issues. Improves advanced techniques with the use of mixed media and working at a larger scale to develop personal aesthetic and vision. Includes creative problem-solving activities the professional calligrapher is likely to encounter on the job. Completion of ART 220 once is equivalent to ART 220A. Completion of ART 220 twice is equivalent to ART 220B. Completion of ART 220 three times is equivalent to ART 220C. Prerequisites: ART218A, ART218B and ART218C, or ART 218 or instructor permission.
