Introduction of commonly used methods for separation of biological molecules for both analytical and preparative applications. This laboratory-intensive course will cover the principles of and practice in filtration, differential precipitation, and electrophoretic and chromatographic techniques. Prerequisite: BIT 109 or BIT 110; and any of the following: BIT 155, BI 112, CH 100 or higher; or instructor permission.  (For detailed information, see the Course Content and Outcome Guide ).
