Focuses on the founders and history, myths and doctrines, rituals and traditions, and social and personal ethics for each tradition. Welcome to Asian Religions. This class looks at religions with roots in South and East Asia, with opportunities to explore in more depth or more broadly than just what is presented in the class materials. You need to plan to be engaged in the class on a regular basis in order to not get behind. The class is sequenced, so you will need to complete each unit before moving on to the next.
Course Specific Requirements:
There is no textbook to buy for this class. You will be doing reading from online sources in the PCC library and watching videos accessible online through the PCC library databases. You are expected to make use of the PCC Library's Research Guide on Religion in doing your work for class.
