Instructor comments:

Dear Students,

I'm really looking forward to learning with you this Fall Term!  Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns-- or just to say "hi" before the term starts: amy.boehnke@pcc.edu.

Here's a link to my webpage with some more information about me and some resources you might be interested in exploring: https://www.pcc.edu/staff/amy-boehnke/

You can check out our Fall Syllabus and watch this D2L Video Tutorial where I demonstrate how to navigate our course shell.

This is a fully online course with no live class meetings:

  • Curse materials and lessons will be in D2L, PCC's online learning platform.
  • Each Monday morning at 7:00 a.m., I will release Weekly Content, Lessons, and Assignments for that week.
  • You should plan your schedule to include about 6 hours a week to complete the work.
  • You can access the content in D2L 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can work through the lessons when it works with your schedule.
  • I will be available during the week to assess your work, give feedback, answer questions, and support you.
  • We can also arrange video or phone meetings when you would like one-on-one support

In addition, we have many financial supports to help you complete your GED and continue credit classes at PCC:

  • free GED practice tests
  • GED Flash testing study program
  • GED Testing Scholarships
  • $800 GED College Tuition Scholarship to help students start their college programs at PCC.  I will provide more information when we begin our work together this winter.

I'm looking forward to meeting you soon!
