Details about this class

Welcome to Spanish 203!  I look forward to getting to know you.  This course has two required Zoom sessions each week.  Our Zoom sessions will mostly be spent practicing conversation in breakout rooms of 2-4 classmates. (Please note that camera use is generally expected for these small group activities in breakout rooms.)  Speaking proficiency is a very important component of this course!  We also make sure to incorporate lots of cultural learning activities, music, and fun!

There is an accompanying, 1-credit conversation class called SPA 213c that meets (in Zoom) for a half-hour prior to each class. In addition, this course requires a weekly 30 min video chat with a classmate that you can schedule whenever you like. All students should also enroll in this conversation class:  CRN 44228 .  During the conversation class we will practice the material presented in the corresponding SPA 203 course.

We use PCC’s D2L site as the organizing and informational “home page” for our course, however assignments will be completed in our textbook website (the “Supersite”).  Students must purchase access to this textbook website, which will be used for SPA 201, 202, and 203 (no further purchases required).
