Details about this class

Required Materials:

Each student should have access to:

  • manuscript (or staff) paper, OR
  • a notation software (MuseScore and Noteflight are great free options!)

If you would like physical copies of staff paper, you can purchase staff paper through the PCC Bookstore via the Textbooks link above. If you don't want to purchase paper, I will provide a PDF of blank staff paper you can print from or edit to complete assignments. Or, you can chose to use a notation software like the free resources I mentioned above.

Participation Requirements: This course will meet via Zoom at the scheduled days and times. Participation with both audio and video is encouraged; this will provide the most enriching and engaging class sessions. It is expected that you attend and participate in all class sessions, but you will not be graded on attendance. Course lectures and demonstrations will be recorded and posted on the course D2L site in case you miss a class or want to review material later.

Technology

There is no additional technology required for this class.
