Details about this class

Mandatory First Week Assignments: There are two mandatory assignments that must be completed by the first Wednesday of the term. Student must complete both of these assignments by this due date to keep their spot in the class.

Virtual Math 20 Informational Session via ZOOM (strongly encouraged, but not required): Wednesday, September 28, 2022, 11:30-12:10pm. ZOOM link will be provided within the class site.

Early Course Access: Students will have access to the course the Friday before the term begins. This will allow each student to spend time getting used to the course and to confirm the course will be a good fit. It will also allow students to begin working on the course early, if there is a need or interest to do so.

Textbook/e-book: Before purchasing your text materials, please read the textbook/e-book information in the syllabus That you have access to that Friday before the term starts. The syllabus will explain how you can a) get two-week temporary access to the e-text and all online learning materials right away, and b) how to purchase the required term-long access to the e-text and all online learning materials.

On Rock Creek Campus - Exam Schedule: PCC Math courses have returned to required in-person proctored exams for all math classes. Exams should be taken on-campus at the dates, times, and locations listed below:

  • Midterm Exam on Monday, October 31, 12pm - 1:30pm or 3pm- 4:30pm at the Rock Creek Campus. Student must arrive 30-45 minutes early with homework for grading.
  • Final Exam on Monday, December 12, 12pm - 2:00pm or 3pm- 5:00pm at the Rock Creek Campus. Student must arrive 30-45 minutes early with homework for grading.

Notes are not allowed on either exam. Both exams will be given at the PCC Rock Creek Campus. The class ends following the final exam on Monday, December 12.

Students need reliable internet access. 

Students will also be expected to be able to print out or hand copy, then handwrite, on weekly worksheets, and upload them.

No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
