Details about this class

I do not give tests. Your course grade is based on weekly homework-style assignments and online peer interactions. Assignments allow you to use sociological concepts to understand "real" life events.

I am flexible about assignment due dates; I "get it" that you have a life and responsibilities outside this class.

Colloboration on assignments is encouraged, but not required.

I'm here to help you. You can even text message me if you need a quick, short response to a question.

Required textbook: Giddens, A., Duneier, M. & Appelbaum, R. (2016) Introduction to Sociology (Seagull 10th edition). New York: W.W. Norton & Company, Inc. ISBN: 9780393265163. Available at the PCC Bookstore.  New $40; Used $30. NOTE: Using an earlier version of the text will work fine too.

There is no additional technology required for this class.
