Details about this class
Welcome!!
This is a Hybrid class so we meet once a week. You will work on assignments during the week. A hybrid has a portion that is Face-to-Face and a portion that is online. I structure class time on Friday each week to recap of the online learning from the previous week. This provides students with clarification on concepts each week so that they have time after class to finish the homework for the week. Small group activities are done to expand on concepts and provide students with a way to experience and formalize the concept through the eyes of their peers. We will do small group activities so that you can collaborate.
Attendance is very important for a class such as this. Class provide instruction, clarification and discussion. You are responsible for material covered in the text, in class, and on any handouts. If you miss a class, it is your responsibility to find out what material was covered and what in-class assignments we did. I will post recordings in D2L. Please communicate with me regarding attendance issues. I’m here to help you so please reach out.
Technology
I will give you all open ed resources so that you will not have to purchase extra software. Here are a few examples that we will use in class. No worries if you are not familiar with them. You will be learning how to use them in class.
