Details about this class
This class will provide an introduction to Autodesk Fusion 360 CAM, covering the basic process for generating a CNC g-code program from a Fusion 360 CAD design.
The student will use one or more of the shop's CNC machines to complete a project of their own choosing. The project must be approved by the instructor for appropriate scale and any safety issues before proceeding.
Prerequisites: The student must have the ability to generate a basic CAD model in Fusion 360 and must have successfully completed the CNC operations class for the machines they wish to use.
Technology
A laptop computer will be very useful, but not required. Autodesk Fusion 360 software will be available on shop computers.
The student must create a personal Fusion 360 student account to use the software.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
