- Kristine Shmakov
Kristine Shmakov has been teaching Russian at PCC since 1993. She received her BA in Russian from University of Oregon and her MA in Russian Language and Literature from the University of Washington. Kristine has written two textbooks, Welcome: A Communicative Approach to Beginning Russian, and Poidyom: A Communicative Approach to 2nd year Russian, both of which are used in all PCC Russian language courses. She teaches First year Russian, Second year Russian, Russian Culture, and Great Russian Writers at PCC. She has studied in St. Petersburg, Russia and travelled Russia extensively.
- Nataliya Pirumova
Nataliya Pirumova received her BA in English with a minor in Russian from Portland State University and her MA in Russian language and literature from University of California at Los Angeles. She currently teaches first year Russian at PCC. She has also travelled Russia extensively.
