What PCC Library Can Do for You
Support Your Teaching
Get to know your subject liaison librarian! These faculty librarians develop the PCC Library collections for your subject. Librarians also teach instruction sessions tailored to your assignments and teaching objectives. Fill out the instruction request form, and a librarian will reply to discuss options for your class.
Supply Class Materials
Place materials from PCC Library or your personal collection on reserve for your courses. You decide how long students can check them out and from where!
Open Educational Resources
Save your students money with OER! Library faculty can help you formulate an OER strategy and find open resources for your classes.
Can’t find an item you need? Suggest specific books, e-books, periodicals, videos, or audio CDs to add to PCC Library’s collections.
Provide Access to Articles & Databases
Use the Articles & Databases page to access thousands of scholarly articles, e-books, and streaming videos for your research and teaching.
Linking to Articles, Videos, & Images explains how to link to these resources so your students can access them from anywhere. Use the page’s “D2L Link Converter” to foolproof your links for use in Desire2Learn course pages.
Offer Research Guides & Tutorials
Faculty librarians offer research guides for most academic programs at PCC. These guides suggest subject-specific databases, books, videos, and websites to jump-start your students’ research.
