As a proud Portland Oregon native I’ve lived here all of my life. Sometimes people say that I should live in other places and I reply to such a remark, “Why would I want to live any place else? Oregon has everything I want!” Oregon offers so many recreational opportunities that I love, rock climbing in central Oregon, snowboarding at Hood, hiking in the Gorge, kayaking around the inlets of the coast, cross country skiing in Bend – just to name a few!

For me, PCC is a perfect fit. I feel very connected to the needs of the students at PCC – I’ve been a PCC student as I have a PCC associate’s degree in graphic design. I also understand the requirements of students who wish to continue their education by transferring to a four year institution.

I’ve been working for the PCC Library for nine years in the Sylvania access services department as a library technician with several specializations. I’ve been the lending and borrowing Summit Coordinator for the PCC library, the interlibrary loan specialist backup, reserve specialist backup, and the student billings specialist. I’m currently the only full-time library representative for the Southeast Center Library Service Desk. Southeast is a vibrant and diverse center that is bursting with students. I’m honored to assist students and staff at this location and we are all very excited for Southeast to become the next (fourth) comprehensive campus for PCC in the next few years – with a real library!
