Winter Break FAQ

At the October Board meeting, President Bennings presented and received approval from the Board to revise our Calendar of Instruction for the month of December to include a winter break.

The winter break will extend our paid time off for scheduled and benefited employees (December 23 – December 27) to also add Wednesday, December 28; Thursday, December 29; and Friday, December 30.

For 2022, these additional paid days off would allow for a continuous break from Friday, December 23 through Monday, January 2. The College would officially be closed the entire week of December 26, enabling our community to rejuvenate, take a well deserved break from work, and focus on well-being. The plan is to add additional well-being days each year to extend our paid time off in December as approved on the Calendar of Instruction.
