This project was a continuation to my ongoing ink and watercolor painting series. As in all of my pieces, this was drawn using graphite before painting it using ink and watercolor. This was another subject of our choice and the heron, whether it be the great blue, the egret, or any of the others in this family, is of my absolute favorite bird species. These birds are such a symbol of grace, beauty, elegance and freedom. "I'm As Free As A Bird"
