Oregon Promise Updates

Beginning with Fall 2017, students may be subject to eligibility criteria based on their Expected Family Contribution (EFC). The EFC limit for 2017-18 applicants is $18,000. New applicants who are above the EFC limit will not be eligible for an award. The EFC criteria is subject to change. Visit the official Oregon Promise Website for more info.

Oregon Promise is a grant program that can cover all or most of your college tuition. To see if you qualify, visit the Oregon Promise eligibility page.

How do I apply?

The application is already open for the 2017-2018 academic year. To apply, please visit the Oregon Promise website, managed by the State of Oregon.

I got the Oregon Promise! Now what?

Congratulations! Once you have received an Oregon Promise confirmation, begin the process of enrolling at PCC: 

  1. Apply for admission

  2. Complete the orientations

  3. Attend a New Student Welcome Day!

  4. Plan your first term

  5. Register for classes

Oregon Promise Program Manager

Hello, everyone! My name is Roberto Suarez and I am PCC's Oregon Promise Program Manager. I have worked at PCC for close to 20 years in the areas of workforce development, academic advising, orientation, recruitment, and admissions. I hold a Master's degree in Academic Administration from Portland State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from Fordham University.
